Project Description: We are seeking a talented and innovative dance group to perform an original dance piece lasting 5-10 minutes, focusing on the themes of social cohesion, civil dialogue, and media literacy. The performance will be part of an event, and we are looking for a group that can bring creativity, artistry, and a unique interpretation to these critical themes.

Performance Details:

  • Duration: 5-10 minutes
  • Location: Addis Ababa
  • Date and Time: December 2023
  • Compensation: This is a paid freelance opportunity, and the compensation will be discussed during the selection process.

Responsibilities: The selected dance group will be responsible for the following:

  1. Concept and Choreography:
    • Create an original choreography that effectively conveys the concepts of social cohesion, civil dialogue, and media literacy.
    • Develop a compelling narrative or concept for the performance.
  2. Rehearsals:
    • Organize and conduct rehearsals to ensure a polished and synchronized performance.
  3. Costume and Prop Management:
    • Coordinate costume design and acquire any necessary props or accessories that enhance the performance’s thematic relevance.
  4. Performance:
    • Deliver an exceptional dance performance during the specified event.
  5. Collaboration:
    • Work collaboratively with event organizers and any technical or support teams to ensure a smooth and successful performance.

Qualifications:

  • A dance group with a strong track record in creating and performing original dance pieces.
  • Expertise in various dance styles and techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively interpret and convey themes of social cohesion, civil dialogue, and media literacy through dance.
